It’s important that you’re able to show that you have relevant, real-world work experience, which will help you develop and enhance your portfolio. While in the graphic design program, you’ll be required to complete six credits worth of cooperative education courses. Our Cooperative Education department partners with local businesses and organizations to provide internships for students in graphic design. Some students even continue to paid employment at their internship sites!
Your classroom projects will also mirror tasks you’ll do in your future career, like working on our student-run, award winning graphic design magazine, The Bleed. You can also apply for on-campus student employment with our Printing and Graphics department or the Design and Media Center, our student staffed graphic design agency.
With just a few more classes, you can stack additional certificates on top of your Graphic Design degree to stand out even further from the crowd.
