When applying for admission to Lane, you'll follow several steps to enroll. These steps are intended to help you succeed as a student at Lane.

If you're a College Now student transitioning to Lane, you'll follow these steps as well.

Welcome back!

Has it been four or more terms since you took credit courses at Lane? We're glad to have you back! You'll need to reactivate your myLane account to complete readmission.

After you submit your application, you will receive an email confirmation of your readmission and you will be provided with your L number and temporary passphrase in subsequent emails. Once you have those, you're ready to register!

Transitioning to Credit

If you're a level F ESL Student who's ready to transition to being a credit student, there are steps to enroll just for you.

Once you have completed your admission online, you will receive three emails:

  • A confirmation email stating that we have received your admission form.
  • An email 1-2 business days later with your L number (student ID number).
  • An email with your temporary password to log into myLane, our online student portal.

If you're not ready to apply yet, but would like some additional information about Lane, contact Admissions.

Who is accepted?

We accept all students age 18 or older and students under the age of 18 with a high school diploma or GED. Students under 18 who have not graduated high school should follow the under 18 guidelines.

Is there a deadline to apply?

Admissions are "rolling" throughout the year, but close one week before each term starts. If you are a new credit student, you must complete all of the "Steps to Enroll" prior to the beginning of a term, or wait until the next term.

What if I can't apply online?

If you are unable to apply online you may download and submit the paper admissions form
