Geography

Geography

Geography is the study of "place" and the distribution of like-places on the earth's surface. Places can be studied or described by human imprints on landscapes and/or by the character of the natural environment. One of the most interesting themes of Geography is the relationship between the natural environment and human societies. Geographers investigate reasons to explain "why" cultural and natural patterns exist in particular areas. Geography courses are designed to help people become more aware of the nature and diversity of environments, and cultural practices that impact the world.
