Admissions for Non-Sponsored/Sponsored High School Students

Oregon high school students can join the RTEC program at Lane to get a jump start on college. RTEC is part of the Expanded Options program offered at the high school. It's an opportunity for a current high school student to be on Lane's campus and earn college credit.

Enrollment Deadlines

If you are being sponsored, your deadline may be earlier than what is listed. Check with your HS sponsor for their enrollment deadlines.

Complete Credit Application It will depend on which summer month you want to start classes Friday, September 18th
Complete placement testing - if needed It will depend on which summer month you want to start classes Tuesday, September 22nd
Complete New Student Advising and other registration holds It will depend on which summer month you want to start classes Wednesday, September 23rd


High School Students - Follow these Steps to Enroll:

Parents - please do not complete any step for your student. Students - follow the steps below if you plan to take classes on Lane’s Campus under the RTEC program (classes at Lane before high school graduation). Please review all the steps first by clicking on the blue bar. Completing all steps may take 4-10 days.

This application will give your student ID (L#). 

What if you already have an L#?  You must submit this application to take part in the RTEC program. Your L# will stay the same.

Application Tips:
  1. Social Security Number: If you plan to apply for financial aid (FAFSA) in the future, please enter your social security number
  2. A unique student email: It cannot be an email address that belongs to your parent(s) or another student
  3. Planned Program of Study: Choose the "Personal Enrichment" program of study option

Submit a HSC RTEC FERPA form and Under 18 Consent Form

All new students must submit the HSC FERPA release form.

All students under age 18 will need a parent signature on a parent form/under 18 form and submit it to Enrollment Services digital drop box after receiving your L# email.

Determine Placement Level

You must prove your writing level before advising and registration. Your HS counselor and the HSC Advisor may also require proof of your math level.

Writing Placement Options - choose one method
High School GPA of 2.00 or higher
Complete Accuplacer's Next Generation reading and writing placement tests at your high school or at Lane’s Testing Office 
A writing course graded on a college transcript
AP/IB writing credit with proof of your College Board scores

English Language Arts score through your Smarter Balanced test scores

SAT Reading and Writing score from Jan 2016 or later. 490 or higher required

Math Placement Options - choose one method
Complete Aleks math testing at Lane’s Testing Office
A math course graded on a high school or college transcript (Algebra 2 or higher)
AP/IB math credit with proof of your College Board scores
Math scores through Smarter Balanced test scores 
ACT math score of 22 or higher 
SAT math score of 510 or higher
