What is an Environmental Services Aide?
The Environmental Aide is a key frontline worker in
reducing the outbreak and/or the spread of germs and diseases
in healthcare facilities and hospitals. The environmental services
team is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe
environment of care.
Environmental Services Aide Training at Lane
Rapid Certification Training
This 18-hour online certification course will provide students with entry-level knowledge to seek employment in a healthcare facility or hospital on its environmental services team. A qualified instructor will support the course. Students will be expected to complete this course in two weeks or less.
Upon successful completion of this course, Students will be awarded a Lane Community College Noncredit Training Certificate (NCTC). When seeking employment in a hospital or healthcare facility, a background check and drug screen may be required.
Cost
Cost is $229. There may be funding available to students. For information about the course and possible funding email EVS@lanecc.edu

How to Register
- Visit ce.lanecc.edu to set up a profile and register for class. If you have already created a profile, go to step 8.
- Click "Create a New Profile" and fill out the form
- You must fill in all boxes that have an asterisk
- Your L number is not required
- Use your email address for your username
- Create a password of your choice
- Once your profile has been set up you are ready to register
- Search for a class by clicking "courses" in the left hand column or in the search field on the upper right of the page
- Add your class to the shopping cart and checkout to finalize your registration
