Welcome to the Lane Community College Testing Office!

Lane Community College Testing Office is committed to providing professional testing services to the school and community. The LCC Testing Office follows the National College Test Association (NCTA) Professional Standards and Guidelines.

Photo ID is required for all testing!!!

Our Services:

Placement Options - Getting Started at Lane

Lane Community College uses placement tests and other methods to help determine your skill level in reading, writing, and math. Placements can also fulfill prerequisites and demonstrate required skill levels for courses and programs.

Students with prior language experience (Spanish or French) may also complete a foreign language placement to start beyond the 101 level.

Writing, Math, and ESL Placements

Writing Placement

A writing placement is required for most new students seeking a certificate or degree. This includes students taking credit classes for personal enrichment. Placement can be earned through placement testing, other prior testing, or college credit.

Math Placement

A math placement is required to clear pre-requisites for some courses (for example, math or computer science) and for entry to certain programs. Placement can be earned through placement testing, other prior testing, last completed high school course, or college credit.

ESL Placement

All students, no matter their current English ability, can take English as a Second Language classes at Lane Community College. To start these courses, you will need to complete an ESL placement test.

Foreign Language Placement

If you have prior language experience in Spanish or French, you may be able to place beyond the entry level courses (SPAN101 or FR101).

Pearson Vue Testing (Includes GED Testing)

Lane Community College is an official Pearson Vue Testing Center. Most of our delivered tests on the system are for GED, but we offer all available professional tests.

Some of the more common "other" professional tests include Oregon Educator Licensure Assessments (ORELA), National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exams, and IT professional (for example, CISCO) exams.

Testing is available to both Lane students and community members.

Scantron Testing

Lane Community College is an official Scantron Testing Center. Most of our delivered tests on the system are for ACE Fitness, but we offer all available professional tests.

Testing is available to both Lane students and community members.

Testing for Credit (CLEP)

Lane Community College is an official ETS Testing CLEP (College Level Examination Program) site. Learn how to earn credit through testing.

ATI Testing (TEAS)

Lane Community College offers the Test for Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) during the month of March to Lane Students applying for the Dental Hygiene program.

Testing dates are typically made available in early January.
