Faculty Connections

Striving to welcome and integrate new faculty into Lane Community College

faculty at the 2008 faculty connections workshopFaculty Connections is an institutionalized, faculty-led orientation and mentorship program. We strive to welcome and integrate new faculty into Lane Community College.

Faculty Connections begins with a fall kick off seminar in September just prior to In-service, followed by a pairing of experienced faculty mentors with newer faculty mentees. Participants are encouraged to join FPD sponsored brown bag sessions throughout the year, and 1 meal per term is sponsored. This creates a culture of support and interdependence among faculty both new and experienced. A Moodle shell is available for the participants to share information, access documents and practice using the learning platform.
